Our nation’s justice system cannot function effectively when front line law enforcement is influenced by politics. Nor can the justice system operate effectively when the safety of federal law enforcement officials and their families is being threatened.
Unfortunately, due to heated political rhetoric and election year politics, threats against federal law enforcement are at an alarming high point. The Attorney General recently announced a new task force investigating and prosecuting threats against public officials.
