As an Assistant U.S. Attorney (AUSA), did you know that the federal government may reimburse you for up to 50% of your professional liability insurance (PLI) annual premium? If you didn’t, you may be leaving a valuable benefit on the table. Public law requires agencies to reimburse an amount not to exceed one-half the cost of your professional liability insurance, or up to $150 per employee per calendar year. Due to the efforts and advocacy of NAAUSA, AUSAs (like federal managers, supervisors, and law enforcement officers) are eligible for this reimbursement.
